The Rakhat chocolate factory was founded in 1942. It is one of the largest manufacturers of confectionery products in Kazakhstan today.The universal production line and especially own cocoa bean processing line allow the factory to have the widest range of confectionery products. Today, this chocolate factory produces over 400 types of various confectionery products.
The Rakhat chocolate factory is one of the companies in Kazakhstan that has developed and produced special products for people with diabetes. This assortment includes several types of chocolate, candies, cookies and waffles with reduced calorie content and replacement of sugar with equivalent natural raw materials.
All products have been made in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards at this factory since 2013. ISO 50001 quality standards were introduced at this chocolate factory in 2014, which made it possible to reduce energy consumption and the negative impact of production on the environment significantly. The factory received the right to produce products that meet Halal requirements standard since 2016.
South Korean confectionery company LOTTE Confectionery buys out the majority package of shares of the Rakhat chocolate factory in 2013. In 2019, LOTTE Confectionery increases its share to almost 96%. Today, the Rakhat chocolate factory includes 2 production sites in the cities of Almaty and Shymkent.
The products of this chocolate factory are in great demand both within Kazakhstan and abroad. The most recognizable product of this factory is Kazakhstan chocolate in blue package with a golden sun and an eagle in the middle of the package.
